(Bloomberg) — France plans to ease restrictions at the border with the U.K. further in the coming days, French government spokesman Gabriel Attal told reporters on Wednesday.
The government hopes to be able to make an announcement by the end of the week, Attal said in a briefing in Paris following a weekly cabinet meeting.
Attal said easing restrictions was justified as the omicron variant of the coronavirus is now dominant among newly infected patients in France.
