(Bloomberg) — Inflation in the OECD surged to its highest rate since May 1996 as energy prices continued to soar for major economies across the world. Canada was the only Group of Seven country not to register an increase in its overall rate in November, while the U.K., Italy and Germany recorded particularly sharp accelerations.
